Board of Directors

Nancy Loudermilk, Board Chair and Director of Education

Nancy has been involved with the Angaza Nuru Ministry since it first began at PLPC. Unable to make the first Journey to Kenya in 2014, she was on the travel team for both the 2018 and 2023 “Journeys”. Nancy has a degree from Middle Tennessee State University with a major in criminal justice administration as well as attending paralegal school. Her work experience includes the legal department for what is now known as Cox Automotive as well as working at Mecum Auction, Inc., as Compliance Officer. Now retired from full-time work, Nancy enjoys the work she is doing with FAN and fully believes that God called her to it. She has established wonderful friendships in Kenya and adores the many children that she has met in the Village of Bodoi.

Lisa Witten, Vice Chair

Lisa has been a partner with Angaza Nuru since 2012 and has gone to Kenya three times and continues to build partnerships with the people in Bodoi. She has an extensive compliance and regulatory background in the healthcare field.  As Vice Chair, Lisa plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of Friends of Angaza Nuru and ensuring the fulfillment of our mission.

Nathaniel Jennette, Secretary

Nathaniel has been a member of the FAN Board since January 2024, and a supporter since 2022.  Nathaniel works as an engineer in the healthcare sector to help hospitals save energy and maintain compliance. As FAN Secretary, Nathaniel is responsible for communications and keeping all Board minutes as well as maintaining a copy of all FAN legal documents.

Laura Rottmann Bradford, Treasurer

Laura has been a faithful supporter of FAN’s mission since 2012, and along with her wife Cat Bradford has helped sponsor the education of many children in Bodoi.  Laura’s has an MBA from UVA, and her background includes experience in both entrepreneurship and business management.  As FAN Treasurer, Laura prepares the monthly financial reports and tracks all funds coming in and going out of the organization. Judy Achieng, Director and Founder

Judy Achieng is the founder of Angaza Nuru.  After learning of the poverty and lack of resources of the people in Bodoi, Kenya, where her father was a pastor, Judy started the ministry in the U.S. in 2011.  Since its inception, Judy has been an instrumental member of the Angaza Nuru U.S. Steering Committee at Priest Lake Presbyterian Church, and is now a member of the Friends of Angaza Nuru Board of Directors. Judy’s role as a FAN ambassador includes building relationships to further the mission and serving as a liaison to ministry leaders in Kenya.
